NaPoWriMo 2013

Are you wondering what in the world NaPoWriMo is?

Let’s sound it out.

  • Na = National
  • Po = Poetry
  • Wri = Writing
  • Mo= Month

Put it all together and… National Poetry Writing Month! Woo!

The general idea is to write a poem a day for the entire month of April. No limits, no restrictions. You could write them in your notebook or on your blog. Whatever works. I would LOVE to create a little sense of community in doing this, though. I’ve been attempting to get back into the swing of things, writing-wise and I could use this little push to keep me on track. If you DO choose to write your poems on a blog/website/etc. please post the link here and upload your site to napowrimo’s submission section if you wish.

I’m notorious for PRE-editing, as in, editing even before the words hit the page, so this year I’m going to focus on just getting it all out. Completing a poem a day without getting too perfectionist about it.

I’ll be starting tomorrow…and I may even use the website’s daily writing prompt to help shake out the cobwebs. Ok…let’s go!

Here is a list of all the poems I completed for April 2013. I thought it might be nice to have all the poetry together in one place!
